Week 45. When data shows you where to show up.
Hey!
Welcome to this week 45 edition!
Beyond the usual metrics

Remember my note last week about brands that (literally) go where their audience is? I talked about AMV going to a marathon. Later, Chartr published this stat showing the evolution of runners over the years. I found it super interesting since the data is 100% accurate, based on the number of runners registered for marathons. I then thought that, as a brand, this kind of data can be pretty useful for gauging how interesting an event might be worth attending. It's refreshing to look for baseline metrics somewhere other than the usual defaults Google Ads, Meta, and the like.
